Damon garfield sr. - fOUNDER

Damon Garfield is the Founder and CEO of Destined 4 Greatness (D4G), a holistic youth and family development organization committed to empowering the next generation of leaders. With experience at Hillside Children’s Center, Rochester City School District, NY State Office of Children and Family Services, and Pathways to Peace, Damon launched Team ROC—which later evolved into D4G Inc.—to address academic, emotional, and community needs. Through innovative programs in education, arts, athletics, vocational training, and mental health, Damon champions mentorship and family engagement to build stronger families and communities across Rochester and beyond.

dAMON GARFIELD JR. - CO-FOUNDER

Damon Garfield Jr. is the visionary behind the name Destined for Greatness (D4G) and a passionate DJ, music educator, and sound engineer. His love for music began at age three and continued through church and college, where he studied Communications at North Carolina Central University and was mentored by hip-hop historian 9th Wonder. Back in Rochester, Damon co-developed an after-school program that uses music as a tool for learning and creative expression.

aNDREA GARFIELD - Director of eDUCATION & IMPACT

Andrea Garfield is a certified K–12 educator, professional and athletic coach, consultant, and entrepreneur. With a career rooted in service and empowerment, Andrea played a foundational role in D4G Inc. and Team Roc—the pioneering organization established in 1999 dedicated to advancing education, athletics, the arts, and entrepreneurship. A committed community advocate, Andrea has also volunteered extensively with St. Monica’s Project, supporting Divine 9 fraternities through a variety of impactful initiatives and events.

Rachel dobbs - director of music and arts

Rachel Dobbs is a music teacher in the Rochester City School District (RCSD), known for her unwavering dedication to her students and peers. As a mentor and role model, Rachel brings passion, professionalism, and a deep commitment to the Rochester community and her family.

jACK DEES - director of ATHLETIC PROGRAMMING

Jack Dees is a dedicated community organizer, trainer, mentor, coach, and educator. A key contributor to the vision of Destined 4 Greatness (D4G), Jack serves on the organization’s advisory board, helping to guide its mission and impact. He is also the owner of Warriors for Christ (WOC), a faith-based printing business committed to uplifting the community through creative expression and entrepreneurship.

James miller - strategic advisor (health & legal affairs)

James Miller is a Rochester, N.Y. native who completed his education in Texas, where he studied and practiced criminal law. He later transitioned into the healthcare field, becoming a hospital administrator. A devoted father of two, James has been especially supportive of his son Matthew’s passion for basketball, actively encouraging his growth on and off the court.
